Exclusive Interview w/ Business Insider

A couple of weeks ago, Google contacted me saying they wanted to do an article about past Doodle 4 Google winners, and I was lucky enough to talk to reporter Jillian D’Onfro. The interview brought back so many memories, and I’m still overwhelmed with how grateful I am for this opportunity.

Thank you so much again Business Insider and Yahoo! for featuring me in an exclusive interview, and thank you for linking my art blog heart emoticon
A really big shout out to everyone who pursue what they love.
You’re awesome.

Update: Working on a children’s book series.

Whew, what a whirlwind it’s been for the past couple of months.
But here’s an update: I’ve been collaborating with an author for the past year on a book series that’s supposed to come out early 2016.

It’s a children’s book series focused on traditional fables, and I’ve been crazy busy with it, but enjoying myself immensely.
Here’s a sneak peek.

Hope it gets you in the mood for the holidays.
Have a warm, happy thanksgiving!

Color/ Technique Practice

An artist always needs some time to fiddle around with new colors and techniques. I bought myself a new set of ShinHan poster colors, set B, which has a wide range of different colors, including pastels and brights. Since this portrait ties in with the books I’m illustrating, I thought it’d be relevant to use it as a basis of practice.
