Canyon Middle School (2008)

106medium: water color (18″ x 24″)

This is a painting I did for my principal. He wanted me to create a painting of the middle school so he could hang it in his office, and I enthusiastically agreed. The beauty of Canyon Middle School wasn’t just the campus grounds, but the fact that it lay at the very top of a hill, so the sky lay above, vast and endless., and was speckled with colorful trees. Using water color,  I tried to convey the beauty I saw on campus into the painting, and I feel like I succeeded in doing so. My principal, when receiving it, was overjoyed, and even rewarded me with a commission. It’s a lovely painting.
